Princess Box

Just had to share this Princess Box I just finished for Sasha's birthday. I saw one at Violette's in Lakeland, and of course, had to have one to make for Sasha. I mailed it today so, hopefully, she will get it for her birthday. Isn't it sweet.

Francois and Cards Made With a Bird Punch

Well, Frances took the hint and sent me some pictures of Francois. He is now 4 months old and so cute. I wish we could go to France again this summer so we could see him. I am dying to hold him and play with him. Oh well, maybe next summer. I am saving, saving, saving so we can.
Isn't he precious!!! He has such beautiful eyes like his mom's except I think his might be hazel or green, not blue like Frances.  Here is one with his big sister, Sasha. She is in 1st grade this year and will be 7 in 2 weeks.

Yesterday I went to Karen W.'s for a card class. She holds one usually once a month and I try to go because she really has some neat techniques and ideas. This time we made cards using the Stampin Up Bird Punch, which, of course, I had to order.
These are some of the cards we made. See if you can find the bird pattern and the wing pattern in the last two.
Cool huh?
I spent some time yesterday afternoon when I got home cleaning up and reorganizing my craft room. I swear, things do get out of hand in there. Could it be that I have too much "stuff" and am running out of places to put all of it? Maybe, when Alex ever decides to move out, I might have to use his room for my craft room. It is a lot bigger and I could get more "stuff" in it. Anyway, I did reorganize some of my "stuff" so, hopefully, I can find it now.
If only it would stay this neat!!!
Afterwords, I made a card to send to RuthAnn. Her husband is terminally ill and I think of her and JC several times a day. She is such a wonderful, sweet person and I am so lucky to count her as a friend. I don't want to bother her with phone calls, but hopefully the card will let her know I am thinking of her often.  Say a prayer for her, her family, and JC.
The flowers are made of buttons my friend Lynn showed me at JoAnn's. I added a jewel to the center of them.
Today is the drawing for the winners of the Tampa Bay Treasure Hunt. Sure hope one of us wins. It would be so cool. James says we deserve it since we ran out of gas (Jody's fault!!!) leaving the last store. I didn't get to enter my cover in the album contest. My fault-I read the deadline date wrong. Oh well, it was fun making the cover anyway.

The Plant City Strawberry Festival and more

Well, for Christmas 2008, I bought tickets for a concert at the Plant City Strawberry Festival starring James's favorite star from Dancing With the Stars, Julianne Hough. She has launched a new career as a country singer. James just thinks she is the cutest thing since sliced bread so I thought he would like to go see her. Well, she had to cancel, so he didn't get a replacement gift. This year I bought tickets again and we went Friday night (It was freezing and very windy and the concert was outside). We had 5th row seats!! Well, I am not a fan of country music, but she has a beautiful voice and the show was really wonderful. James really enjoyed it so I guess the wait was worth it. Here are a few pictures of her performing.

We really had a great time, even with the cold.
Below is a picture of the scrapbook page I did. I still need to add her name to the page.

Well I finished my cover for my Treasure Hunt album and I also did a page for my big scrapbook using a collage of the pictures of the hunt.
Michaels had some scrapbooking t-shirts on sale the other day so I just had to have one of each. They really are cute, especially the black one.

I mailed Brooke & Adam their 2 month page of Jack. Hopefully they got it today.

In case you haven't see my darling little grandson lately, here is a recent picture of the sweet little thing.

Isn't he just adorable.
And of course I would put up a picture of my other adorable grandson, Francois, if his mother would email me a picture-hint hint. I can't post them from the Walgreens site-hint hint.
Better go for now. I need to do some laundry.

Tampa Bay Treasure Hunt 2010

Boy did we ever have fun participating in the Tampa Bay Treasure Hunt. Lynn, Jody and I had a ball and managed to get to all 11 stores in 3 days. We had to purchase a passport for $10.00. (Approximately 800 passports were purchased.) Along with that came a 6x6 album, beads, and several scrapbooking items. We had to visit all 11 scrapbook stores in ten days and purchase at least $5.00 at each store-like that was hard to do! They would then stamp our passport and we would get a special tag from each store to tie onto our beads. At some stores we were able to do our Make and Take-a scrapbook page for our 6x6 album, and at others it was a Take and Make.

We preferred the Make and Take because it was fun to sit down and talk with other participants. Each store had a pirate scene set up for photos and one even had a Jack Sparrow look-alike actor (above) to have our picture made with. After visiting all 11 stores-one was in Spring Hill, another in New Port Richey, 1 in Hudson, 2 in St. Pete, 2 in Tampa, 1 in Brandon, 1 in Lakeland, and 2 in Sarasota,  we turned our passports in at the last store we visited and they will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes.

1st place is a $100.00 gift certificate at each store-that's $1,100.00 of scrapbooking stuff!! Wow! 2nd place is $50.00 at each store, and 3rd place is $25.00 at each store. We decided that if one of us won 1st place we would share it between the 3 of us. It really would be cool to win. They also have a contest for the best decorated cover. I am working on mine but with so many entries it would be a miracle to win, but it is fun to create the cover.

We really got into it and dressed up like pirates with matching hats, shirts, sashes, jewelry,  and booty bags.

Trying To Catch Up

I can't believe how far behind I am with this blog. I forgot to put pictures up of my Valentines cards, and now I have already addressed my St. Patrick's Day cards and didn't take a picture of them. Oh well, they are like the Valentine's card below since this year I am using the tree stamp all year. Hope no one gets bored with them.

I did a page for myself for my photo frame and one for Adam and Brooke's frame too. Of course the subject is Jack.

I did a page for Frances too but forgot to take a picture of Francois's 2 month page and his 3 month page that I  mailed today.

We went to the twin's birthday party and boy have they grown. They are so adorable. We had a great time and our present to Emma and Lily was a bench for their back porch. It has 4 zoo animals in the scroll work on the back. It is really cute.

Here is a card I made for my friend Jody who just became an assistant principal.

And here is my favorite Valentine, Jack Thomas Spicer who was here this past weekend to visit with both sets of grandparents. I bought this little frame at Hobby Lobby in Ocala on my way back from Tallahassee the last time. Such a cool store, too bad we don't have one closer. But then again, I would be there too often and spend too much money. Anyway, it was so good to see him and hold him and talk to him. He is soooooooo
adorable.
Well, I will quit for tonight. I have lots to write about the Tampa Bay Treasure Hunt Lynn, Jody, and I went on this past weekend but don't have time to write it tonight.  It was a blast.
