A Week With Jack

Well today is Friday and I have been in Tallahassee since Sunday night. It is so great to be here with Adam & Brooke and especially Jack. He is such an  adorable baby-of course I am not prejudice at all. He seems to be settling into a good routine for Brooke. He goes about 4 hours between feedings and sleeps most of the time. Monday we took him to his doctor's appointment and he had gained 4 ounces. Wednesday we went to the mall and shopped for about an hour. Thursday we took him to Adam's place of work and then went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch. Jack slept through it all. He's a real trooper. Today we took him and Chelsea on a walk around the block. The weather has finally decided to cooperate. It has been below freezing here for 15 consecutive days. We finally uncovered the plants outside this morning too.
This is one of my favorite pictures so far of Jack. He is just so sweet, I can't get enough of him.

Here is another really cute one with his Captain Jack jacket on.

I have had some time to work on some scrapbooking pages, especially at night when everyone is asleep. I am not too busy during the day either. I have done the cooking and cleaning and I have played with Chelsea every day and I have tried to leave the baby care to his mommy. He is really starting to bond with Brooke and knows when she is talking to him. When Adam gets home he spends a lot of time getting to know him too. But, I do hold him, rock him, and sing to him once in awhile.Anyway, here are some of the pages I have done. The first one is for my 8" x 8" magnetic photo frame.

I also made one for Brooke and Adam's frame and one for Frances and Christophe's too.I gave them both 8" x 8" blue albums and will do a page a month for them so when their babies are a year old they will have an album of their first year of life.

Francois is now two months old. This is his one month page. I may try to do the two month page tonight.
I have a 12" x 12" beautiful blue album for myself for Jack and have started on some pages for it. I have to wait until I get home to type some journaling and print it out so I can add it to the pages, but you can get the idea.
This page is of the ultrasound. I got the lazer die cut at the Scrapbook Expo in July in Atlanta. You open up the lady's tummy and insert the ultrasound picture inside.I need to color in her eye, eyebrow, and lips but I didn't bring my chalks so I will have to do it when I get home. Gee, I thought I brought everything but the kitchen sink when I came.

This is a double page spread of the baby shower I came up for in November.

This of a double page of Brooke and Adam checking into the hospital and of baby Jack being born.

I guess I should take individual pictures of the pages instead of putting them together because you can't see the detail too much this way. Oh well, next time.
Frances has been a good girl and has remembered to send me monthly photos of Francois, so I can do her photo frame pictures and fill in the months of this page for my album. I have one for Jack too, and plan to put them side by side so I can watch them both grow. I can already see a change if Francois.

Better go for now, baby Jack is crying and maybe I can hold him for awhile.

Our new grandson

Well, Jack Thomas Spicer has arrived and as you can see in the photo, he is beautiful-all 8 lbs. 2oz. of him. He arrived on Saturday, January 2nd at 11:06 pm. We were there and got to see him about 30 minutes after he was born. I will be going up next week to help take care of him and his mommy. I can't wait!!!!
